I spend an occasional Saturday up at Pleinmont Point, freezing, dressed in hundreds of layers and welly boots, not for the love of bikes, but for one of its riders. After over a year I have had bike lingo drummed into me and learnt what the rider likes to see in a picture of themselves. I find taking the action shots monotonous and unless requested I tend to only do the type of photos that i enjoy. This is where I got the idea to do some stages portraits of the boys and their bikes. Dark skys and moody clouds make for the perfect representation of this not so cuddly sport. I love the outcome of these images and have tones more ideas to make each of them unique. Continue reading
I always get asked if i take hundreds of photos of Imi. I do, but they are just phone pictures as every time ive put her in the studio she moans and asks if we’re done yet! So i took her down to Mike at Creative Photography, whom i collaborate on weddings, to take a few snaps on us for me and my family. Continue reading
As a makeup artist and a photographer I get to see and reap the benefits from both. Taking the time to get the makeup right, saves me time in post-production.
