Moto-Portrait

I spend an occasional Saturday up at Pleinmont Point, freezing, dressed in hundreds of layers and welly boots, not for the love of bikes, but for one of its riders.  After over a year I have had bike lingo drummed into me and learnt what the rider likes to see in a picture of themselves.  I find taking the action shots monotonous and unless requested I tend to only do the type of photos that i enjoy.  This is where I got the idea to do some stages portraits of the boys and their bikes.  Dark skys and moody clouds make for the perfect representation of this not so cuddly sport.   I love the outcome of these images and have tones more ideas to make each of them unique. makeup vs photoshop

As a makeup artist and a photographer I get to see and reap the benefits from both.  Taking the time to get the makeup right, saves me time in post-production.  To show you what I mean I have put together the RAW image (straight off camera, with no retouching) and the retouched version to show that it’s not been created on a computer.
